Caroline was sitting in her house, staring at the blank wall. It was pouring outside and the power had gone out in her house. Being a vampire, you’d think she’d be able to find something to do, but that wasn’t the case. She got up from the couch and grabbed her phone off of the charger, the heat…
As soon as Caroline hung up the phone I realized that my room was not exactly the neatest. I grabbed some piles of clothes trying to find a spot to put them. It was hopeless I was not a person who could clean. I heard a knock but I was still throwing things around. Then the knocking was louder and i realized Caroline was out in the rain. I moved quickly down the stairs and opened the front door. She looked drenched and I couldn’t help but laugh. “Caroline Forbes come in. Let’s get you some dry clothes.”

It was hard to see out of my windshield with all of this rain, it made me regret leaving the hospital. When I thought about leaving Mystic Falls I was now greeted with an overwhelming sense of guilt. If I had been home perhaps my mother wouldn’t have been in the hospital. It pained me to see her this way, and I should have known that after losing father, she didnt need to lose a son too. But I knew for certain that nothing would ever make me leave again. I pulled my car into the the driveway; I pulled my hood up before I exited the car making a run through the rain to the front door. I fumbled with the keys before finally managing to open the front door. I quickly switched on the light before closing the door behind me, relieved that we still had power. I threw off my shoes before making my way upstais; I had to get out of these wet clothes. I searched through my room finally decided to go with an old t-shirt and some jeans. I threw the wet clothes into the bathroom, I would deal with those later. My attention turned quickly when the sound of my ringtone rang loudly through my bedroom. I looked down quickly and a smile appeared when I saw Caroline’s name. “Hello.” I answered quickly, placing the phone comfortably next to my ear. I couldn’t believe I had been so foolish to leave this girl, after everything she still wanted me in her life and I was grateful because I had let her down but that wouldn’t happen again. I couldn’t help but let a small laugh escape from my lips, leave it to Caroline to over-exaggerate. “Yeah, there is still power here. Thinking of stopping by?” It would be good to see her, after all there hadn’t been much time to catch up since I got back into town.
